fine art book report

amazing new idea i have, or have had for a long time now.. paintings based off books. and i am actually going for it. i think i would like to stick with this idea for a while. it's nice to do paintings that don't have any special meaning.. it was amazing. but now i feel like my paintings need to have some substance. so, why not paint what i am absolutely obsessed with : books.  i am hoping this inspires others to pick up these books to read. i am tired of people reading books as an escape. or people not even reading at all but instead watching television for countless hours a night. or reading books because they were featured on oprah/the today show/your local news..  the books i read might be seen as obscure or experimental. but why be afraid of such a genre? i try to be open to everything. i'd like to inspire others to do the same.

I've been researching new artists to look at.  I feel like I need this to figure out what I want to do with my art. I feel like right now, it's not edgy or different enough.

I found artist Matthew Ritchie and was immediately inspired.
